The American dream…

What is the American Dream?

The term was first used by James Truslow Adams in his book The Epic of America which was written in 1931. He states: “The American Dream is “that dream of a land in which life should be better and richer and fuller for everyone, with opportunity for each according to ability or achievement. It is a difficult dream for the European upper classes to interpret adequately, and too many of us ourselves have grown weary and mistrustful of it. It is not a dream of motor cars and high wages merely, but a dream of social order in which each man and each woman shall be able to attain to the fullest stature of which they are innately capable, and be recognized by others for what they are, regardless of the fortuitous circumstances of birth or position.”

In the United States’ Declaration of independance, our founding fathers: “…held certain truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.” Might this sentiment be considered the foundation of the American Dream?

Were homesteaders who left the big cities of the east to find happiness and their piece of land in the unknown wilderness pursuing these inalienable Rights? Were the immigrants who came to the United States looking for their bit of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, their Dream? And what did the desire of the veteran of World War II – to settle down, to have a home, a car and a family – tell us about this evolving Dream? Is the American Dream attainable by all Americans? Would Martin Luther feel his Dream was attained? Did Malcom X realize his Dream?

Some say, that the American Dream has become the pursuit of material prosperity – that people work more hours to get bigger cars, fancier homes, the fruits of prosperity for their families – but have less time to enjoy their prosperity. Others say that the American Dream is beyond the grasp of the working poor who must work two jobs to insure their family’s survival. Yet others look toward a new American Dream with less focus on financial gain and more emphasis on living a simple, fulfilling life.

Thomas Wolfe said, “…to every man, regardless of his birth, his shining, golden opportunity ….the right to live, to work, to be himself, and to become whatever thing his manhood and his vision can combine to make him.”

Is this your American Dream?

You can think too that the American dream is changing with the financial crisis… Nowaday can we speak about the death of the American dream??

How can we find learned about something which interesting us on the internet….

I think using internet to search something is very useful. We can look for a summary of words, of events, movies of differents things and so one…

We can type in google our research and after we will surf on the website which speak about it.This is the simplest way to research.

To watch movies on a website like youtube is attractive and efficient. There are lots of movies on lots of subjects. For example you research how to make a grafic tshirt. You can type in youtube your question and after you select your movie.

I think the better way to find a good answer is to search at first on the specialized website which describe your need and then you understand better, you look a movie.

Dance is life and life is dance!

I have been practise dance since 13years; I began with classical dance,  and I did modern jazz, new jack, contemporaine, african dance, tap dance, break and newstyle and now i practice just newstyle.

I did several dance stage in Paris with good choregrapher.. I like that.

Its a means of expression for me! When I dance I forget everything, I release totally. And the biggest pleasure for me is to be on stage. It is the very strong feeling that I feel when I dance. I think that we communicate with the dance a lot, it is the self-expression through movement which speaks.
Dancer in front of people also allows to work it shyness. It is very important.

Next year, i created a company of dance with 4friends. And i was choregrapher and dancer in this crew.. It was so funny. We took part of dance show in the discotheques, parties, events.. And it’s fantastic to earn money through it passion.

Since i live in Montpellier, i dance much less. And I feel a lack!!

how internet affects the crisis of economy in the usa…

The lack of regulations the United States was at the origin of the current financial crisis which threatens the stability of the world economy

I think that internet, this way of communication gives positiv and negatif effect on the main message of this crisis.

In fact, it’s very useful to warm quickly lots of people that the countrie knows the crisis and why can we talk about crisis! People can follow the variations of the financial market.. and can evalue if its better to stop their transactions or to continue it.  The information circulates fast and allows to remain to inform at any time.

Nevertheless,  Too much information kills the information. Indeed a lot of people do trust on what we say to them and are quickly going to make decisions which will not be necessarily a maid. They panic and worry about all these news which arrive so fast. people stress whereas internet isn’t still reliable…

Wiki is unusual among group communication mechanisms in that it allows the organization of contributions to be edited in addition to the content itself.

Like many simple concepts, “open editing” has some profound and subtle effects on Wiki usage. Allowing everyday users to create and edit any page in a Web site is exciting in that it encourages democratic use of the Web and promotes content composition by nontechnical users

Look for a job on the Internet : A good way to research…

I think Internet can help people to look for and to find a job, an internship… Just a job for hollidays or our next serious job… You can post your Cv on different websites, create your e-portfolio.. and theses tools help you to improve your credibility. It exist lots of specialized websites on the job research.

We can also find addresses or phone numbers and then we can be on contacts with interessant people for us.

By the email way of communication, we can send the CV, the cover letter and differents things as the link of your e-portfolio, your website, your blog, useful to make a good impression.

Cyber addiction

The organization of all the life of a person around the game on line, what looks like a drug addiction, concerns fortunately only hardly 10 % of the regular consumers. Having said that, the video games “stick” by provoking a very powerful phenomenon of “reward” bringing an intense pleasure and an easy valuation. And it is a redoubtable trap because the power of the link in the interaction with the screen and in the direct manipulation of the images-The power of the virtual – surpasses and risks to replace the common pleasure of the work of the reading, which sends back(dismisses) to that of the imagination.
